Gifts from Oak City
Oak City is Raleigh's nickname, and people who call it that usually mean it as a point of pride. The name is tied to the city's old oak trees and its long shade-covered streets, which is why locals use it for everything from ballpark signs to coffee shop walls. That makes it a good fit for someone who grew up in Raleigh, moved away for work, or simply loves the place and everyone in it. A tee or hoodie with Oak City is an easy everyday gift, and it lands well with students, new residents and longtime locals alike. For a tighter touch, add a neighborhood or the year they moved in as the second line. A mug is a nice pick for someone who misses home, and a kids tee or onesie works if they're starting a family there.
