Picking a gift for an oracle database administrator
An Oracle database administrator keeps the systems that hold a company's records running, which means they're usually the person paged at two in the morning when something breaks. They tend to be quietly proud of uptime and careful about backups, and they don't get many gifts that acknowledge that. A tee they can wear to a weekend patch window, a hoodie for the server room that always seems to be cold, or a mug for the coffee that gets them through a long migration will get used. Put their job title on it so it reads as theirs rather than a generic tech shirt. If they've earned a certification such as OCP or OCM, their credential works well as the second line, but only if it's really theirs. For a team of DBAs, one design with each person's name in the Team Shop makes a practical thank-you after a hard release.
Oracle Database Administrator gift questions
Can I add a certification like OCP to the shirt?
Yes, if it's really theirs. Type it into the second line of the design, and the preview will show you how it fits before you order.
Is there a design that fits a DBA who also does other database work?
Many designs have a second line you can change. You can keep the job title and add a note about the platforms they work with, as long as it's accurate for them.
What's a good gift for someone who just passed an Oracle exam?
A hoodie or mug with their title and the year they certified is a good way to mark it. It's personal and it's something they can keep using.
What sizes do the oracle database administrator shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an oracle database administrator gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
