Picking a gift for an orthoptist
An orthoptist works with the eyes and the way they move together, mostly with children and adults who have strabismus, amblyopia or double vision, and often in a clinic alongside ophthalmologists. It's a specialized job that many people outside eye care have never heard of, so a gift that names the profession tends to get a real reaction. Shoppers often find that the person they're buying for is pleased simply to be recognized for work that's easy to overlook. A tee or hoodie with orthoptist on it works for a clinic day or a weekend, and a mug suits the desk where they type up their notes. If they've just finished training or passed a certification exam, put the year on it and their credential in the second line, typed exactly as they use it. For a whole clinic team, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each person's name on their own shirt.
Orthoptist gift questions
Can I add a credential like COMT to the shirt?
Yes. Type it into the second line or after their name. Only use a credential they actually hold, and the preview will show you how it sits on the shirt before you order.
Is there a date when orthoptists are celebrated?
Not one I can confirm with certainty, so you may want to time your order around their graduation, a certification anniversary or the start of a new job instead.
What's a good gift for a new orthoptist?
A hoodie or tee with their name and the year they qualified. It's useful for work and marks the milestone.
Can I order for the whole clinic at once?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose a design, paste a list of names and pick a size for each person. Every shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the orthoptist shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an orthoptist gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
