Gifts from Parkin
Parkin is a small place, and that's the thing to keep in mind with it. Whoever you're shopping for is probably from a town where everybody knows the name, or they've left and still can't say it without a little pride. A shirt or mug with Parkin on it is a way of saying home, and it works best when it feels personal rather than generic. Add a second line with a street, a year they were born, or the name of the school they went to, and it stops being a souvenir and becomes theirs. Parkin products come in adult and kids sizes, a hoodie for cold evenings, and an 11 oz mug for the morning reminder of where they started. If you're buying for someone who moved away, the mug and the dark tee tend to get the most wear, because they're the things that go everywhere with them.
