Picking a gift for a perioperative assistant
A perioperative assistant works in the room where surgery happens, often setting up instruments, keeping the field organized and moving between the OR and the sterile processing side of the building. It's a role most people outside healthcare have never heard of, which is part of why a gift with the title on it feels so personal. They spend long days on their feet in cold rooms and tight scrubs, so the things they'll keep are the comfortable ones: a soft tee for the drive home, a hoodie for the chilly break room, a mug that's clearly theirs. The title printed clearly on the front tells them you understand what they actually do. Many designs also have a second line, so you can add their name, their facility's unit or the year they started. If you're buying for a whole surgical team, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each person's name on their own shirt, which tends to land better than a generic gift card.
Perioperative Assistant gift questions
What does a perioperative assistant do?
They support surgical teams before, during and after procedures. Tasks often include preparing the room and instruments, passing equipment during surgery and restocking supplies. Duties vary by facility and state, so check with the person if you want the details right.
Can I add a credential or unit to the design?
Yes. Type it into the second line, such as their credential or the department they work in. The preview updates so you can check spacing before ordering.
Is this a good gift for someone new to the role?
It can be. A shirt or mug with their title marks a new job without being sentimental, and it works well for a first day or a completed training program.
What sizes do the perioperative assistant shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a perioperative assistant gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
