Picking a gift for a policy internship
A policy intern is usually doing the work of someone twice their pay grade: drafting memos, sitting in on hearings, reading bills at the speed of a hallway conversation, and trying to learn who actually makes decisions. The gifts that land tend to be the ones that acknowledge how much they're juggling. A light tee or a hoodie is good for the early mornings on Capitol Hill or in a think tank office, where the dress code is somewhere between casual and no one's sure. A mug is the most useful, since they'll drink a lot of coffee over a semester of briefings. Put the word policy or internship on it, or add the organization or the year, and it becomes a memento of the season they'll later describe as the one that changed their plans. If you're buying for a whole cohort, one design with each intern's name on their own shirt is a nice way to mark the summer together.
Policy Internship gift questions
Can I add the organization or the year to the design?
Many designs have a second line for a year, an office or a program name. Type it into the text box and the preview will update so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is a policy internship gift a good idea for a summer program end?
Yes. Interns often finish a summer program with a finished project and a lot of new contacts, so a shirt or mug that marks the season works well as a thank-you or a farewell.
Can I order for a whole internship class at once?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the policy internship shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a policy internship gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
