Picking a gift for a post doctoral scientist
A postdoc is a scientist in the long stretch between the PhD and a permanent position, usually on a fixed-term contract, often in a lab that runs on grant money and late nights. They're publishing, troubleshooting experiments that won't cooperate, and probably eating lunch at the bench. A gift that acknowledges that stretch lands well: a tee for the lab days, a hoodie for the cold walk across campus, a mug for the coffee that keeps the western blots moving. Add their field, such as neuroscience, genomics or chemistry, or their institution's department name on a second line, and it stops being a generic science shirt and becomes theirs. A postdoc who's just defended or just landed a first-author paper appreciates a note in the design too. Write the word exactly as they'd title themselves, and the preview will show you how it sits before you order.
Post Doctoral Scientist gift questions
Can I add a field of research or an institution to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a field, a lab or a university. Type it in and the preview will show how it fits.
Is a postdoc gift a good choice for someone starting a new position?
It can be. A mug or tee with their title and new institution marks the move and gives them something to wear on the first day.
Can I order for everyone in a research group at once?
Yes. The Team Shop lets you choose one design, paste the list of names and pick a size for each person, and every shirt prints with its own name.
Do you have designs for kids in case the postdoc has a young family?
There are a few kids tees and dark kids tees with this word. Filter by product to see them.
What sizes do the post doctoral scientist shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a post doctoral scientist gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
