Picking a gift for a principal
A principal spends the day being everyone's first call: the kindergartner who lost a tooth, the teacher with a broken copier, the parent who's upset, the superintendent on line two. Then there's the evening game, the concert, the board meeting. The gifts that land are the ones that make a long day a bit easier and say you noticed the work. A soft tee or hoodie for the casual Friday, or the staff spirit week, and a mug for the office that's clearly theirs. Put their name on it, or the name of the school if you can type it in as plain text, or a line like Best Principal Ever from the kids in room 12. Principal appreciation is easy to forget because the job is so often thankless, so a gift from a class, a PTA or a whole staff means a lot. If you're gathering everyone together, one design with each person's name on their own shirt makes a great end-of-year thank-you.
Principal gift questions
Can I put the school name on a principal gift?
You can type any text you like into the text box, including the school's name. It prints as plain text in the design's style. Check the live preview to see how it fits before you order.
When is a good time to give a principal a gift?
End of the school year is the most common time, and many people also give something at the holidays or when a principal retires. Check your district's gift guidelines first, since some schools have rules.
Can the whole staff or PTA chip in on matching shirts?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What if the person is an assistant principal or vice principal?
Change the main word to Assistant Principal or Vice Principal, or type the title on a second line if the design has one. The preview updates so you can check the spacing.
What sizes do the principal shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a principal gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
Principal gift ideas
- A mug for the office deskAn 11 oz mug with their name or title keeps the coffee theirs and gives them something to reach for between fire drills and parent meetings.
- A hoodie for the long school yearAdd their name or the school year on a hoodie they'll pull on for early mornings, cold bus duty and late evening events.
- Matching tees for the whole staffPick one design in the Team Shop and paste the teachers' and staff names. Everyone gets their own size, and it makes a great spirit-week or end-of-year gift.
- A tee from the class or the kidsUse the second line for a message from a class or grade, like Room 12 or Class of this year, so the gift feels like it came straight from the students.
