Picking a gift for a processing spec
A processing spec is the document that says exactly what a piece of equipment or a software system has to do, and the people who write and maintain them tend to be detail-oriented, a little bit stubborn about definitions, and very used to being the person who has to read the fine print twice. They'll appreciate a gift that takes their work seriously. A plain tee or hoodie with the job title on it says you noticed what they do, and a mug on the desk is useful every single day during long review sessions. Adding a second line with their team, their site or the spec they're closing out makes it feel like theirs rather than a generic office shirt. If you're buying for a whole engineering group, one design in the Team Shop with each person's name on their own shirt is an easy way to recognize the group without guessing sizes.
Processing Spec gift questions
Can I add a team name or a spec number to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line you can use for a team, a site or a document number. Type it in and the live preview will show you how it sits before you order.
Is processing spec a common job title?
It's more of a role or document name than a widely used title, so the best approach is to use the exact wording their team uses day to day. If you're unsure, check their email signature or business card.
What is a good gift for someone who writes specs?
A mug or hoodie with their job title is a practical choice, since they're likely to use it at work. Adding their team or project name makes it more personal.
Can I order shirts for everyone on the spec team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste the list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the processing spec shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a processing spec gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
