Gifts from Providence
Providence is a small city with a big personality: a river running through downtown, Federal Hill's Italian bakeries, the Rhode Island State House dome, and a reputation for being walkable and a little quirky. People who grew up here or went to school here tend to carry the name with them, and a Providence shirt is how they claim it, whether they still live nearby or ended up in another state. A tee with Providence across the front is a good everyday gift. A hoodie suits a student heading back to campus or someone who spends winter evenings wandering the city's neighborhoods. A mug with the city name works for the transplant who misses home and needs a daily reminder of where they're from. To make it theirs, add a second line with the neighborhood they grew up in, College Hill, Federal Hill or Olneyville, or the year they moved away. That small detail turns a souvenir into something only they would recognize.
