Picking a gift for a public services librarian
A public services librarian is the person at the desk who helps someone print a resume, figures out the right database for a research project, and patiently walks a retiree through a library card renewal. Their day runs on questions, most of them small and some of them urgent, and the gifts that land are the ones that acknowledge that. A soft tee for the reference desk, a hoodie for the chilly reading room, or a mug for the coffee they'll drink while the printer jams again. What makes it theirs is the title. Put public services librarian on the front, or just librarian if the full title is too long for the design, and add a second line for their library, their branch or a graduation year if they just finished their MLIS. Pick the product that matches how they dress for work and how they unwind, and it becomes a gift they keep reaching for.
Public Services Librarian gift questions
Can I add a library name or branch to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a library, branch or department. Type it in and the preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is there a shorter version of the title?
Several designs use just librarian, so you can choose that if public services librarian is too long for the shirt you like. The preview shows how each version looks.
What's a good gift for a librarian who just finished library school?
A hoodie or tee with their title and graduation year. It marks the milestone and gives them something they'll wear for years.
What sizes do the public services librarian shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a public services librarian gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
