Picking a gift for a public works director
A public works director keeps the water running, the streets plowed and the sewer lines working, usually out of view until something breaks. Their days are long budget meetings, storm callouts and phone calls from residents who want a pothole fixed yesterday. A gift that acknowledges that behind-the-scenes work lands well. A tee with their title on it works for the field crew party, a hoodie is the thing they'll grab for the cold early-morning callout, and a mug suits the desk where the capital plan lives. Add their department or city on the second line if you know it, or their own name if you're buying for a team. Public works weeks are usually celebrated in the spring, so an order placed a few weeks ahead keeps the gift on time.
