Picking a gift for a publishing director
A publishing director usually has a full calendar of manuscripts, deadlines and meetings, and most of the real work happens between them. They weigh in on acquisitions, protect the schedule when a book slips, and argue for a title that might not look safe on paper. A gift that acknowledges that work tends to land better than a generic office joke. Put the words publishing director on a mug for the desk where the red pen lives, or on a hoodie for the cold conference room that always seems to run cold. Add the imprint or the house name on the second line if you know it, and the gift becomes specific to their list. A tee works well for a book launch or a farewell lunch, and a kids tee is a playful nod for someone whose own children have started reading their own catalog. Nobody needs another stack of paper, but a shirt that says what they do is something they will wear on the day the manuscript finally goes to print.
Publishing Director gift questions
Can I add an imprint or publisher name under publishing director?
Yes. Many designs have a second line. Type the imprint or house name there and check the preview before you order.
Is publishing director a common gift wording?
It is one of the more specific job titles, so the designs are built to read cleanly on a mug or tee. The preview shows you the line length before you buy.
Can I order for a whole editorial team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop, pick one design, paste the names, and choose a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What is a good send-off gift for a publishing director who is retiring?
A hoodie or mug with their title and the year they stepped down is a warm way to mark a long career in print.
What sizes do the publishing director shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a publishing director gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
