Purple Emperor gifts for the people who love them
Purple Emperor is a butterfly, and a fairly rare one: a large, dark woodland species that spends most of its life high in oak canopies and only drops down to puddles or fresh dung on the ground. Most people never see one, which is part of why a Purple Emperor gift lands so well. It's for the person who goes looking for insects, who keeps a field guide in the car, or who has a sharp eye for anything that flutters. The species is known for the purple sheen that shows on the males' wings when they catch the light, so a design that plays on that color is a natural fit. Put the name on a shirt, add a line for the year they first spotted one or the woodland they search, and it becomes theirs. A gift like this says you paid attention to what they love, not just what was on the shelf.
Purple Emperor gift questions
Is Purple Emperor a real butterfly?
Yes. Purple Emperor is the common name of a large woodland butterfly, and it is the name these designs use.
Can I add a name or a year to the design?
Many designs have a second line. Type a name, a year or a woodland name there and the preview will update.
What's a good gift for a butterfly enthusiast?
A shirt or mug with the species name is a simple, personal choice. Hoodies work well for cooler outdoor days.
Are there designs for kids who love butterflies?
Yes. There are kids tees and a baby onesie among the Purple Emperor designs, so you can match the gift to the age of the butterfly fan.
What sizes do the purple emperor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a purple emperor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
