Picking a gift for a registered communications distribution designer
A registered communications distribution designer, or RCDD, is someone who plans the cabling and infrastructure that carries voice, data and video through a building, usually as a consultant or engineer on a larger project. They spend their days with floor plans, pathway drawings and specifications, and they often work with contractors who have no idea what a telecommunications room is for. A gift that acknowledges the credential and the work lands well. A tee or hoodie with RCDD on it shows you know the title is something they earned through a certification process, not just a job description. If you want it more personal, add their specialty or the firm they work with on the second line. For someone who lives on job sites and in drawing sets, a mug for the desk or a dark tee for a site visit is a practical way to say you noticed what they do.
Registered Communications Distribution Designer gift questions
What does RCDD stand for?
RCDD stands for Registered Communications Distribution Designer. It's a professional credential for people who design the cabling and pathway systems in commercial buildings, and it is awarded through a recognized certification process.
Can I add a company name or their certification number?
Many designs have a second line. Type a firm name, a specialty or a year there. Check the preview to make sure the spacing looks right before you order.
Is this a good gift for someone who just earned their RCDD?
Yes. Passing the exam is a real milestone, and a shirt or mug with the credential is an easy way to mark it. A hoodie works well for a new certificate holder who'll be on job sites through the cold months.
Are there designs for a whole engineering team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop to pick one design, paste the team's names, and choose a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the registered communications distribution designer shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a registered communications distribution designer gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
