Gifts for Research Development Directors

Picking a gift for a research development director

A research and development director usually sits between the lab bench and the boardroom, translating half-finished experiments into schedules, budgets and decisions that someone else has to sign off on. They spend a lot of time in meetings that run long and reviews where the data has to hold up, so a gift that acknowledges the work without turning it into a joke tends to land well. A hoodie for the cold conference room, a mug for the first coffee of a long planning cycle, or a tee they can wear on a weekend project day all fit that life. Put their exact title on it, or shorten it to R&D Director so it reads cleanly on the front. If they're moving into the role or celebrating a promotion, add the year they took it on. For a whole department, the Team Shop lets you print one design with each person's name on their own shirt, which makes a better team gift than another round of catered lunch.
