Picking a gift for a research fellow
A research fellow is usually in the middle of a postdoc or a fixed-term appointment, juggling grant deadlines, lab meetings, long experiments that refuse to finish on schedule, and the job search that never really stops. Many of them work late into the evening and bring a mug of coffee to the bench, the desk and the seminar room. A gift that acknowledges the title tends to land well, because it says you noticed the work and the years of training behind it. Add the lab name, the field, or the year they started and the shirt or mug becomes theirs rather than a generic academic joke. Fellows often get a hoodie for the cold building or a tee for the weekend away from the lab. For a group of fellows in one department, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each person's name on their own shirt, which makes a good end-of-year or farewell gift. Whatever you choose, the title itself is the centerpiece, so keep the design clean and let the name do the personal work.
Research Fellow gift questions
Can I add a field or lab name to a research fellow shirt?
Many designs have a second line. Type the field, lab or institution there, then check the preview to confirm the spacing before ordering.
Is research fellow a good gift for someone finishing a postdoc?
Yes. A postdoc ending is a milestone, and a shirt or mug with the title and the year marks the move on to whatever comes next.
Can I order for a whole research group?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste the names of the fellows, and pick a size for each person.
What sizes do the research fellow shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a research fellow gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
