Picking a gift for a resident advisor
A resident advisor, or RA, is the person on a residence hall floor who knows which door is always propped open, who's keeping an eye on a floor that's had a rough week, and who's usually stuck with the 2 a.m. fire alarm. Most RAs are students themselves, juggling their own classes while looking out for a few dozen residents, so they spend a lot of time being the one everyone comes to. A gift that acknowledges that work lands well. A tee or hoodie with RA on it is something they can wear to floor meetings and on move-in day, and a mug fits the late nights spent writing programming plans. Add the hall name or the school year in the second line and it becomes theirs. Many RAs finish their term in spring, so a spring send-off or a graduation gift is a natural time to order.
Resident Advisor gift questions
Can I put the hall name or school year on a resident advisor shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a hall name, building or year there. The preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is there a resident advisor gift for a whole staff team?
Yes. The Team Shop lets you pick one design, paste a list of names and choose a size for each person, so every RA on the staff gets a shirt with their own name.
What's a good gift for an RA who's graduating?
A hoodie or mug with their name and graduation year works well. It recognizes the time they gave to residents while marking the end of their college years.
What sizes do the resident advisor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a resident advisor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
