Picking a gift for a resident hall director
A resident hall director, or RHD, usually lives in or near the building they look after, which means their days blur together: duty nights, floor meetings, roommate conflicts, and the late-night call about a fire alarm that turned out to be burnt popcorn. They're often the first adult a student turns to when homesick or stressed, and they tend to wear more hats than their title suggests. A gift that acknowledges that is what lands. A hoodie they can throw on for a 2 a.m. building check, a mug for the office where the coffee is always cold by noon, or a tee with their own name and hall on the second line so it feels like theirs. You can type in the name of the building or the campus-specific detail, and the live preview lets you check the spacing before you order. If you're shopping for a whole staff, the Team Shop lets you put every RHD's name on one matching design.
Resident Hall Director gift questions
Can I add the name of my residence hall or campus to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a building, hall or campus name. Type it in and the preview updates so you can check how it looks before you order.
Is there a good gift for a resident hall director who is leaving the job?
A mug or hoodie with their title and the year they served works well. It marks the time they spent looking after students and is something they can keep after they move on.
Can I order shirts for a whole residence life team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste the list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
Do the designs use the official title, or can I write my own wording?
You type the wording yourself. If your office uses a shortened title like RHD or Hall Director, type whichever one your team uses.
What sizes do the resident hall director shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a resident hall director gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
