Gifts for Resident Programs Assistants

Picking a gift for a resident programs assistant

A resident programs assistant is usually the person who keeps a residence hall or apartment community running smoothly. They answer late-night questions, plan floor events, help residents sort out roommate issues, and are often the first face a student sees when something goes wrong. It's a job that runs on patience and good humor, and the gifts that land best are the ones that acknowledge the effort nobody sees. A hoodie for the cold walk across campus at 11 p.m., a mug for the desk where they write up incident reports, or a tee for the weekend they finally get to relax. Put the title on it exactly as their office or job posting names it, and add the building or community they serve on a second line if you know it. That turns a generic job shirt into one that's clearly theirs, the kind of thing they'll wear to a team event and still be wearing when the next class of residents moves in.
