Picking a gift for a retired
Retirement is a strange kind of finish line. The alarm clock is gone, the calendar is suddenly their own, and half the fun is telling everyone about it. A shirt that says Retired is a good way to do that, and it works for the early-morning coffee, the golf course, the garden, the road trip they've been planning for decades. The best gifts here carry a little humor and a little pride, because the person earned both. Make it theirs by adding the year they retired or their old job, so the shirt says something like Retired Teacher or Retired Since 2025. If you're shopping for a party, a hoodie suits the first slow mornings, and a mug is the one thing they'll reach for every day now that there's no commute. For a retirement send-off at work, you can order matching shirts for the whole crew with the Team Shop.
Retired gift questions
Can I add the year someone retired?
Yes. Many designs have a second line where you can type the year, a job title or a name. The preview updates as you type, so you can check it before you order.
What's a good gift for someone retiring from a specific career?
Put the career on the design, like Retired Teacher or Retired Engineer. It nods to the work they did and makes the gift personal instead of generic.
Can I get matching shirts for a retirement party?
Yes. In the Team Shop, choose one design, paste a list of names and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
Are there Retired designs for the grandkids?
Some designs come as kids tees and a baby onesie. Use the product filter on this page to see which ones, and pair them with a grown-up shirt for a family photo.
What sizes do the retired shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a retired gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
