Gifts from Rio Dell
Rio Dell is a small city on the Eel River in Humboldt County, California, and a shirt with the name on it is a way of saying home to someone who's left and someone who never has. The people who matter most here are the ones who carry the town with them: people who grew up on those river bends, moved away for work or school, and still pull up the local weather before a trip back. A tee or hoodie with Rio Dell on it reads as a small hometown pride piece, the kind that shows up at a reunion or on a weekend visit. Because the town is small, the gift lands best when it's personal: add the year they graduated from the local school, or a family name for the house they grew up in. A mug on a kitchen table makes the same point every morning. You don't need to know every street to make it theirs, just the part of the story that's theirs.
