Picking a gift for a room director
A room director runs the floor of a residence hall, or a similar space, and spends most days handling the things that come up in the middle of the night: a roommate conflict, a sick student, a fire drill that goes wrong. They're usually the first adult a student calls when something goes sideways, and they're rarely thanked for it. A gift that acknowledges that work tends to land well. A tee or hoodie they can wear on move-in weekend or during a long on-call stretch, or a mug for the office coffee that's clearly theirs, shows you see the job for what it is. Add their name, or a second line for the building or the year they started, and it becomes their own. If you're buying for a whole staff of directors and resident advisors, the Team Shop lets you print one design with every person's name on their own shirt.
Room Director gift questions
Can I add a building name or year under the job title?
Yes. Many designs have a second line. Type the hall name, building or start year there and check the preview before you order.
Is room director a common title for a design?
Yes, it's one of the professional titles offered. If the title they use is slightly different, such as residence director, you can type that in instead.
What's a good gift for a room director who just finished a hard year?
A hoodie is a comfortable choice for the long winter stretch, and a mug works well for everyday use at the desk.
Can I order for a whole residence life team at once?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person.
What sizes do the room director shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a room director gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
