Gifts from Rubicon
Rubicon is a name that rarely shows up on a map, so the people who wear it usually have a story about why they chose it or why someone chose it for them. The word itself carries a famous history: the river Julius Caesar crossed with his army, which is where the phrase crossing the Rubicon comes from, meaning a decision with no going back. A Rubicon shirt can be a quiet nod to that for someone who has made a big leap, like a move, a new job or a bold change of plans. Put the phrase on the shirt or mug if you know they'd enjoy the joke. For a family member who lives in or near a place called Rubicon, the place name is the detail that counts. Check the second line for a year or a town, and the design will read as their own.
