Gifts from Seiad Valley
Seiad Valley is a small community in the Klamath River canyon of Siskiyou County in far northern California, reached by a winding road and known more for its river and its quiet than for any crowd. People who spend time there tend to feel a strong attachment to the place, whether they grew up there, work seasonal jobs nearby, or passed through on a river trip and never forgot it. A gift that names the valley is how they carry it home. Keep the design simple and let the place name do the talking, with a second line for a year they lived there or the river they fished. A hoodie suits the cold mornings along the river, and a mug fits the kitchen of someone who misses the canyon. Since the valley is small, the shirt might be the only one like it the person owns, which is part of why it lands.
