Gifts from Shawmut
Shawmut is the old name for the peninsula that became Boston, and most people who use it are history fans, long-time locals, or people who like a name with a story behind it. A Shawmut shirt reads as a nod to the city's roots rather than a standard souvenir tee. It suits someone who gives walking tours, who reads everything about the city's early days, or who just likes knowing where a place got its name. Because the word is less common than Boston, it works well as a conversation starter: the person wearing it gets asked what it means, and they get to tell the story. A mug on the desk or a hoodie for cold harbor walks gives them a small, everyday way to carry a piece of the city's history without needing to explain it every time.
