Gifts from Shonto
Shonto is a small community in northern Arizona, on the Navajo Nation reservation, in the Kaibito Plateau area near the Tuba City region. I'm not certain of the local details beyond that, so the best gift here is about the person rather than the place. A shirt or mug with Shonto on it tells someone who lives there, or who grew up there, or who simply loves the high desert and the people who call it home, that you noticed where they're from. Shonto is a name people carry with them, and a Shonto hoodie for cold desert nights or a Shonto mug for a morning coffee at home can mean more than a generic souvenir. Many designs have a second line, so you can add a year, a family name or a nickname the person would recognize. Ask the recipient how they'd like the name written before you order, since place names are often spelled and pronounced in specific ways.
Shonto gift questions
Do I need to know anything special about Shonto before ordering?
It helps to ask the person how they'd like the name written and whether they want a second line for a family name, a year or a nickname. That way the design fits their own sense of the place.
Can I add a family name or clan to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a family name, a clan or a year there and check the spacing in the preview before you order.
What's a good gift for someone who moved away from Shonto?
A mug or tee with Shonto on it is a simple reminder of home. For someone far away, a hoodie is especially welcome in cooler weather.
What sizes do the shonto shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a Shonto gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
