Gifts from Simla
Simla is a hill station in the Himalayan foothills of northern India, and most people who know it at all know it from history books, the old summer capital the British used to escape the heat of the plains. A shirt that says Simla is a conversation starter for someone who has been there, loves the mountains, or has family from the region. If your person has been to Simla, a tee or hoodie is a lighter souvenir than a suitcase full of brass, and it can carry a second line for the year of the trip or the name of a hotel they liked. For someone with roots in the area, a mug or a kids tee with the town name is a way to pass the place on to the next generation. Because this is a smaller place name, a short personal line usually does more than a long one, so think about what the word means to them and let the design carry that.
Simla gift questions
Can I add a year or a name to a Simla design?
Many designs have a second line for a year, a family name or a short note. Type it in and the preview will show you how it sits under the town name before you order.
Is there a Simla design for a baby?
Yes. Simla has baby onesie designs, which work well for a newborn whose family has ties to the town.
What's a good gift for someone who visited Simla?
A tee or mug with the year of their trip is the easiest choice. It's useful, it's personal, and it recalls the place without needing a story to explain it.
Can I order Simla shirts for a group trip?
Yes. Use the Team Shop to choose one design, paste in the names of everyone going, and pick a size for each person.
What sizes do the simla shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a Simla gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
