Picking a gift for a sports official
Sports officials spend their weekends on fields, courts and ice, usually with a whistle, a stopwatch and a crowd that doesn't always agree with their calls. The gifts that land with them tend to be practical and a little self-deprecating, the kind of thing they can wear to the next game or keep in the bag. A dark tee works for the cold early-morning fields, a hoodie covers the long wait between doubleheaders, and a mug is the one thing guaranteed to be on the sideline when the coffee runs out. Put their title on it, sports official or referee or umpire, and add a second line for the sport, the league or the year they started. That detail tells them you know what the job actually is. Officials often work mixed-age leagues, so a kids tee or onesie can also make a fun joke for a child who's been watching a parent make calls all season.
Sports Official gift questions
What title should I use for a sports official?
Use the title they actually go by, such as referee, umpire or official, along with the sport. Type it into the text box and check the preview before you order.
Can I add the sport or league name?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a sport, league, or year. Type what fits their work into that line.
Can I order shirts for a whole officiating crew?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste the crew's names, and pick a size for each person.
Are there designs for kids and babies too?
There are kids tees, kids dark tees and a baby onesie for this title, which can be a fun way to include a family member who's been at the games.
What sizes do the sports official shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a sports official gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
