Gifts from Spruce Pine
Spruce Pine is a small mountain town in Mitchell County, North Carolina, tucked into the Blue Ridge and known for its mica and quartz industries. A person who grew up there or moved away carries that small-town pride, and a shirt with the town name is how they say so at a reunion, a game, or a road trip through the mountains. Because the town is small, a shirt that names it stands out from the usual big-city gear, and people who know it will notice right away. For someone who left for work or school, a mug with Spruce Pine on it makes a warm morning reminder of home. A hoodie suits the cold mountain mornings most people remember. You can add a second line for a year, a street, a school class or a family name to make the piece theirs.
