Picking a gift for a staging technician
A staging technician spends the day moving risers, hanging truss, running cable and resetting the stage between load-ins and show call, often in a black tee and a headset with a dozen people calling for them at once. The gifts they keep tend to be the ones that fit that life: a hoodie for the cold loading dock at midnight, a shirt they can wear straight from the venue to the bar after strike, a mug for the green room or the shop. Show that you know what the job takes. Put their name on it, or the venue or touring company they work for, and add a line like stage crew or tech crew so it's clearly theirs. A design in the Team Shop with each crew member's name is a good gift for a whole production crew or a theater's tech team after a long run. Crews often wrap a show or a tour season in the late fall and early spring, which is a natural time to order.
Staging Technician gift questions
Can I add the venue or company name to a staging technician shirt?
Yes. Type it into the second line of the design, or in the main text box in place of the title. The live preview lets you check the spacing before you order.
Is there a standard gift day for stagehands?
There isn't a single official day. Crews usually get gifts at the end of a long run, a tour, or a season, so ordering a few weeks ahead of that wrap-up works well.
What's a good gift for a new staging technician?
A hoodie or tee with their title and the year they started is useful on the job and marks the start of their career in the trade.
Can I order shirts for my whole crew?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste the list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the staging technician shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a staging technician gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
