Gifts from Standish
Standish is a small place name, and that's exactly why a shirt with it means so much to the people who grew up there or still call it home. When someone is from a small town, the name on a shirt is a quiet way of saying where they belong, whether they're wearing it to the hardware store or dropping it into a suitcase for a trip back. A tee or hoodie with Standish on it works for the homecoming weekend, the family visit, or the first winter after a move away. Small towns also tend to have a long memory for who was born there, so a mug with the town name can become the one thing they keep on the kitchen counter. Since place names vary a lot in how familiar they are, the best way to make the gift theirs is to add the detail only they would recognize: the year they left, the street they grew up on, or the high school class they graduated with.
