Picking a gift for a state archivist
A state archivist spends their days keeping official records safe and findable, often in climate-controlled stacks that most people never see. They handle deeds, legislative papers, old maps and the records of agencies that ran long before anyone working there today. Their work tends to go unnoticed until someone needs a document from 1902, and then it's the only thing that matters. A gift that acknowledges that quiet, careful work lands well. A tee or hoodie with their title on it is a conversation starter at family gatherings, and a mug with their name is a small daily nod to the job. Add your state's name or the agency they serve on a second line, and the design stops being generic and becomes theirs. If they're retiring, a mug or tee with the title and the year they started makes a thoughtful send-off.
State Archivist gift questions
Can I add my state or agency name to a state archivist design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a place or organization. Type your state or agency there and the preview will update so you can check the layout before ordering.
Is state archivist a common gift idea?
It's less common than teacher or nurse, so a design with their exact title often stands out. It works well for colleagues, retirements and family members who work in records or history.
Can I get shirts for my whole archives team?
Yes. The Team Shop lets you choose one design, paste a list of names and pick a size for each person, so everyone gets a shirt with their own name.
What sizes do the state archivist shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a state archivist gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
