Gifts from Stead
Stead is a small name that most people outside a few towns won't recognize, so the shirt does a lot of explaining. The word could be a place, a family name or a spot someone calls home, and the gift lands best when you know which. If it's a town, the person who grew up there or moved away will usually feel it immediately: a tee that says Stead on the front is a quiet way of saying you know where they come from. If it's a family name, the same shirt becomes an inside joke for relatives. Either way, a second line does most of the work. A year, a graduating class, or the name of the street they lived on turns a single word into something that belongs to one person. The product matters too. A hoodie suits someone who misses winters back home, a mug fits the desk of the person who answers every how-are-you with where they're from, and a baby onesie is a way to pass the name on to the next generation.
Stead gift questions
Can I add a second line to a Stead design?
Many designs have a second line for a year, a street, a class or a nickname. Type it into the text box and the preview will update so you can check the spacing.
Is Stead a place or a last name?
It can be either, and the designs use the word as you type it. If you're not sure how the recipient thinks of it, add a line that makes the meaning clear, like the town or family name.
What if the person I'm buying for is from a different town with the same name?
Add a state or a county in the second line so the shirt reads as their Stead and not someone else's.
What sizes do the stead shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a Stead gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
