Gifts from Stockholm
Stockholm people tend to be proud of a city built on fourteen islands, with its archipelago stretching out into the Baltic and its old town of narrow lanes and colorful houses. A Stockholm shirt is how someone who grew up there, studied there or just fell hard for the place keeps it close. It makes a good gift for the Swedish-American who's been homesick since their last visit, for the traveler who came back with stories about the metro's art stations, or for the friend who turned a semester abroad into a permanent crush on the city. Stockholm's long summer evenings and dark winters give a hoodie a real purpose, and a mug works well for the morning coffee ritual that people there take seriously. Add a neighborhood like Södermalm or Gamla Stan, or a year they lived there, and the design stops being a souvenir and becomes their own story.
