Gifts from Taftville
Taftville is a village in the town of Norwich, Connecticut, and the people who grew up there tend to hold onto it. Many of them still have family along the Shetucket River and in the old mill-era streets that built the place. A Taftville shirt is how a former resident shows the village still counts, whether that's at a family reunion, a homecoming or just a trip back to the old neighborhood. Because the village is small, a Taftville design can carry a lot of meaning to someone who knows exactly where it sits on the map. For the person who moved away, a mug with the village name on it is a daily reminder of home. For a kid who's just been born into a village family, a baby onesie puts the name on them from the start. Add a street, a family name or a year underneath and the gift becomes personal to the person wearing it.
