Picking a gift for a technical architect
A technical architect spends a lot of the job translating between people who build systems and people who pay for them, deciding how the pieces fit before anyone writes a line of code. Long design reviews, whiteboard sessions that run past lunch and an inbox full of questions about trade-offs are the everyday reality, so the gifts that land tend to be the ones that make the thinking side of the job feel noticed. A hoodie for the cold conference room, a mug for the desk where the diagrams get drawn, or a tee for the weekend when they finally step away from the screen all work well. Put their title on the front, and consider adding a second line with their specialty, their team or the year they earned a certification they're proud of. If they hold a credential, say their credential rather than guessing at its exact name, and make sure it's one they actually have before you print it. The gift becomes theirs once the words match the work they do.
Technical Architect gift questions
Can I add a specialty or a company team name to the shirt?
Many designs have a second line. Type a specialty such as cloud or data, or a team name, there. Check the preview to see how it sits before you order.
Should I include a certification on the design?
Only if they actually hold it. Type the credential exactly as they write it on their resume, and keep it short so it fits the layout cleanly.
Is there a good time of year to order a gift for a technical architect?
Any time works, but many people like to give gifts around a new role, a promotion or the end of a big project in the year. Order a few weeks early if you're buying for a team.
What sizes do the technical architect shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a technical architect gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.

- A tee for the weekendPick a dark tee for someone who likes to step away from the whiteboard on the weekend and still show what they do.
- A kids tee for a future engineerIf the architect has young kids, a kids tee with the title can be a playful nod to what Mom or Dad spends the day doing.
