Gifts from The Rock
The Rock is Alcatraz, the island prison that became a tourist stop in San Francisco Bay, and also the nickname some people give the place for its stone walls and cold water. Someone who loves the city might be a longtime resident, a former visitor who keeps thinking about the fog and the bridge views, or a sailor who has made the trip out to the island. A shirt or hoodie with The Rock on it is a conversation starter for anyone who knows the island and a quiet nod for anyone who has only seen the postcard. For a gift that lands, match the design to how they know the place: a dark tee for the San Francisco fog and rainy walk to the ferry, a hoodie for the chill of the bay, or a mug for the morning coffee they drink while planning the next visit. You can also add a second line with a year or a detail that means something to them, which turns a city name into a personal keepsake.
The Rock gift questions
Is The Rock a city or an island?
The Rock usually means Alcatraz Island in San Francisco Bay, which is part of the city. Designs use the nickname as your text, so you can add a second line that says the city or the year they visited.
Can I add a year or a detail to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a year, a place or a short note. Type it in and the live preview will show how it sits under the main word.
What is a good gift for someone who has visited the island?
A dark T-shirt or hoodie with The Rock and the year of their visit makes a lasting keepsake. A mug works well for someone who thinks about the trip every morning.
What sizes do the the rock shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a The Rock gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
