Gifts from Tightwad
A tightwad is someone who counts every dollar, clips coupons and rarely picks up the check, but who also tends to be the first to notice when something is genuinely worth buying. Tightwads usually take a quiet pride in their frugality, so a shirt or mug that jokes about it lands better than one that pokes fun. Think of the coworker who brings lunch from home every day, the relative who reuses gift bags, or the friend who somehow always has a coupon ready. A tightwad will appreciate a gift that is well made and used often rather than something flashy that collects dust. Put the word on a tee they can wear to the thrift store, or a mug for the morning coffee they brew at home instead of buying. Because the word is a bit of a teasing label, it works best between people who know each other well and laugh about it together.
Tightwad gift questions
Is Tightwad a good word for a joking gift?
It works well as a friendly tease between people who know each other. Many tightwads take it as a badge of honor, so it usually lands with a laugh rather than an insult.
Can I add a second line to the design?
Many designs have a second line for a name, a year or a short phrase. Type it in and the live preview will show how it looks.
Which products have Tightwad designs?
Tightwad designs come on T-shirts in light and dark, kids tees, hoodies, 11oz mugs and baby onesies, though the number of designs varies by product.
What sizes do the tightwad shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a Tightwad gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
