Gifts from Titonka
Titonka is a small town in north-central Iowa, and most people who live there know everyone else in it. A shirt that says Titonka is the kind of thing people wear to the county fair, to a high school game, or on the drive back after visiting family who moved away. Because the town is small, the gift that lands best usually comes with a personal touch: a graduation year, a family name, or the street where they grew up, added on a second line. A hoodie suits the cold Iowa winters, and a mug works for the grandparent who still reads the local news. For someone who left and misses home, a Titonka design is a quiet way of saying the place still counts. Since the town is small and I'm not certain of local details, I'd lean on the person's own story rather than anything I might get wrong about the place.
