Gifts for Transportation Planners

Picking a gift for a transportation planner

Transportation planners spend their days on the questions most people only notice when they go wrong: where the bus route should bend, how a new bike lane changes traffic, what a freeway expansion will do to the neighborhood next to it. The work is long meetings, public comment periods, and spreadsheets full of counts, so the gifts they tend to keep are the ones that acknowledge the job with a bit of humor. A tee for the commute to the office, a hoodie for the cold public hearing, or a mug for the desk where the next corridor study is taking shape. Put their own line on it, like Transportation Planner with a city or agency name, or a year they started. That turns a generic job shirt into something that's clearly theirs. If you're buying for a whole planning team, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each person's name on their own shirt, which makes a better office gift than another round of donuts.
