Gifts from Trowbridge
Trowbridge is a market town in Wiltshire, England, with a long history of cloth mills and a centre built around its old buildings, so people who are from there often feel a strong pull toward home even after years away. A Trowbridge shirt is a way of carrying that place around, whether for a relative who emigrated, a friend who studied abroad, or someone who simply loves the town and its history. Because the word is specific, a shopper can make it personal by adding a second line for the street, the year they lived there, or a family name. Light tees suit everyday wear, while a hoodie is better for a cold walk along the canal or a trip back home in winter. A mug works well for the person who starts each morning with a cup of tea and a reminder of where they're from.
