Picking a gift for an utility locator
A utility locator spends the day in a hi-vis vest, walking job sites with a locator and paint, marking where gas, water, power and fiber lines run underground so that crews can dig without hitting them. It's careful, unglamorous work that most people never think about until a line gets struck. A gift that acknowledges that care tends to land well. A tee for the truck or the weekend, a hoodie for the early winter mornings when the ground is frozen, a mug for the first coffee before the day's first ticket. Add the word locator or their company's trade line, plus a year if they started recently, and the shirt reflects their work instead of a generic job title. If you're buying for a whole crew, the Team Shop lets you order one design with everyone's name on their own shirt, which tends to be more appreciated than another round of lunch.
Utility Locator gift questions
Can I add a company name or crew number to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line. Type the company name, crew number or their first name there, and the preview will update so you can check the spacing.
Is there a version of this for kids or babies?
There are kids tees and dark kids tees, plus a baby onesie. Kids designs are a fun way to show a family member's job in a way a child can wear proudly.
What's a good gift for someone who just started locating?
A tee or hoodie with their title and start year marks the start of the job. It's useful on the first day and something they'll keep for years.
What sizes do the utility locator shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an utility locator gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
