Gifts from Wendell
Wendell is a name, but this page is about a place: the word is filed under cities, so a shopper looking here is probably thinking of Wendell as a town rather than a person. I don't know enough about Wendell to name its landmarks, history or local traditions, and I won't guess at them. What I can say is that a place name on a shirt or mug is a way to carry home with you. Someone who grew up in Wendell, or who just moved away from it, will recognize the word the moment they see it, and a hometown shirt often gets worn more than any other piece of clothing they own. If you're not sure what the people who live there would want on the design, the second line is a good place to add a year, a street, a high school class or a family name, so the shirt becomes about the person wearing it and not just the map dot. Tees and hoodies suit everyday wear, and the 11 oz mug is a good pick for the kitchen of someone who misses the place.
