Gifts from What Cheer
What Cheer is a small town in Iowa, and the people who grew up there tend to hold onto that name with real pride. A shirt that says What Cheer is the kind of thing a former classmate or a relative who moved away will actually wear back home, to a reunion, a county fair or a high school game. Because the name is so unusual, a shirt gets noticed, and it starts the conversation people want to have about where they're from. Many designs have a second line you can use for a year, a graduating class or a family name, which turns a town shirt into something that belongs to one person. For someone who left and still talks about home, a mug on the kitchen counter is a small daily reminder. For a grad heading off to college, a hoodie with the town and the year says where they started.
