Gifts for people into whip/slapstick
A whip or slapstick is a percussion instrument, a pair of hinged boards that clap together to make a sharp crack, and it's a staple in orchestras and marching or pit bands. The people who play it tend to be the ones who count rests carefully and wait for their one moment in the piece, then make it count. A gift for a percussionist should acknowledge that discipline and the occasional bit of showmanship. A tee or hoodie with the word whip or slapstick on it fits a band room, a rehearsal bag or a concert-night outfit. A mug is a good pick for the early-morning practice session or the long bus ride to a competition. For a new player or a student, a kids tee shows the instrument off to a proud family, and a second line with their name, school or section makes it personal. Keep the design simple so the word itself does the talking.
