Gifts for Wind Turbine Technicians

Picking a gift for a wind turbine technician

Wind turbine technicians climb towers that can stand hundreds of feet tall, often in wind and cold that most people would never willingly face. They work on gearboxes, blades and generators, and they spend a lot of their day at heights where a good pair of gloves and a sense of humor matter as much as the tools. A gift for someone in this line of work should acknowledge that the job is physical, a little dangerous and often lonely on a remote ridge. A tee or hoodie they can wear under a jacket on a cold morning feels right, and a mug for the truck or the crew trailer gets used every shift. Add a second line with their crew name, their site or their certification, and the shirt stops being generic. Many technicians come into the trade from other trades, so a graduation or certification-day hoodie with the year they finished training marks a real turning point.
