Gifts for people into xylorimba
A xylorimba is a large marimba-like instrument built in the Central African tradition, with a deep, warm tone and a bigger range than most people expect. The player who owns one usually spends hours at it, often in a school ensemble, a community group or a world music class, and the instrument can be expensive and easy to take for granted. A gift that names the instrument tells them you noticed what they spend their evenings on. A dark tee or hoodie suits a performer heading to rehearsal or a gig, and a mug works well for the practice-room coffee. Put their name or their group's name on the second line so it's clearly theirs, and you'll have a gift that fits how they actually play.
Xylorimba gift questions
What is a xylorimba?
It's a large, low-pitched xylophone-style instrument related to the marimba, with a wide range and a rich tone. It's played with mallets and is common in African and world music ensembles.
Can I add a name or group to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a name, a school, an ensemble or a year below the instrument name and check the preview before you order.
Is there a design for a whole ensemble?
Yes. Use the Team Shop to choose one design, paste the names of everyone in the group, and pick a size for each person.
Which product works best for a performer?
A dark tee or hoodie is a good choice for gigs and rehearsals, while a mug suits everyday use at home or in the practice room.
What sizes do the xylorimba shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a xylorimba gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
