Gifts from Yawkey
Yawkey is a name people in Boston know well, tied to Fenway Park and the baseball history that runs through the city. Anyone who grew up around the ballpark or follows the old-school side of the city may already recognize it, and that's the audience to picture here. For a shopper, the page is about giving a Boston person a piece of their city's story in wearable form. Keep in mind that Yawkey is a surname before it's a place, so the cleanest gift is one that uses the word plainly and lets the recipient make the connection. A tee for game day, a hoodie for a cold night in the bleachers, or a mug for the morning coffee all work well. Type the word into the text box, check the preview, and add a second line like a neighborhood or a year if you want the gift to feel more personal.
Yawkey gift questions
What does the name Yawkey refer to?
Yawkey is widely associated with Boston and with the Red Sox through the Yawkey family's long ownership of the team and their connection to Fenway Park. If you're buying for someone who knows that history, the shirt will likely land well.
Can I add a second line to the design?
Many designs have a second line for a neighborhood, a year or a short note. Type it in and the preview will update so you can check the spacing before ordering.
Are there options for a whole group?
Yes. The Team Shop lets you choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person, which works well for a group of friends heading to a game together.
What sizes do the yawkey shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a Yawkey gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
