About this algona gift
Algona is a small city in Kossuth County, Iowa, and the people who grew up there tend to stay proud of it wherever they end up. A shirt with the town name is how they claim it at a state university game, a family reunion or a summer trip back home. Since a town this size doesn't have a lot of souvenir-shop merchandise, a personal design usually lands better than a generic one. Add a graduation year, a class, or the street they grew up on, and the shirt means something only the two of you fully understand. A hoodie suits the Iowa winters, and a mug works for the transplant who misses the small-town mornings. Kids and babies can wear the same name, so a grandparent can start a family tradition from the first day.
